Information We Collect

Account and contact information

We collect information needed to create and manage your account, communicate with you, provide support, and process billing. This may include your name, email address, organization, billing details, and communications with us.

Google sign-in information

If you sign in with Google, we receive only the basic account information needed to authenticate you, such as your name, email address, profile image, and account identifier. Google handles your sign-in under its own Privacy Policy.

Customer Content

Customer Content is the data, records, files, documents, and other information that you or your users enter, upload, connect, or generate in AnyDB. You control what Customer Content is stored and processed through the service.

Technical and usage information

When you use AnyDB, we collect limited technical information needed to operate and secure the service. This may include your IP address, browser and device type, access times, service activity, errors, and security events.

Information from integrations

If you connect AnyDB to another service, we receive and process only the information you authorize that service to provide. The connected service also handles information under its own privacy policy and terms.

How We Use Information

We use information only as reasonably necessary to:

  • provide and operate AnyDB;
  • authenticate users and manage accounts;
  • process transactions and billing;
  • provide customer support;
  • maintain security, prevent fraud, and investigate misuse;
  • monitor reliability and fix technical problems;
  • understand general product usage and improve AnyDB;
  • send service notices and, subject to your preferences, information about AnyDB; and
  • comply with applicable law and enforce our agreements.

We do not sell or rent personal information or Customer Content. We do not use Customer Content for advertising, and we do not share information for third-party marketing.

Website Analytics and Cookies

Our public website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, understand website traffic, and improve the website. You can control cookies through your browser settings, although disabling some cookies may affect website functions.

We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity for website analytics

  • Google Analytics helps us understand website visits and usage. Google handles information under its Privacy Policy.
  • Microsoft Clarity helps us understand how visitors interact with the website. Microsoft handles information under its Privacy Statement.

Artificial Intelligence Features

Some AnyDB features use artificial intelligence to generate responses, summaries, recommendations, or other output. When you use these features, the information needed to complete your request is sent to an AI provider acting as our service provider.

AI providers

AnyDB currently uses OpenAI and may also use Anthropic’s Claude through their commercial services. Their processing is governed by their applicable business or API terms and privacy commitments:

No AI training

AnyDB does not use your AI prompts, Customer Content, or AI responses to train general-purpose AI models. We use commercial AI services configured so that providers do not use your inputs or outputs for model training.

Prompt handling and reporting

AnyDB does not store or log the contents of AI prompts or responses as separate AI logs. We may create anonymous, aggregated summaries of general request types for reporting and product planning.

Human review

AI output can be incomplete or incorrect. AI features assist users and do not independently make legally binding decisions. You are responsible for reviewing AI output and deciding how to use it.

Service Providers and Disclosure

We use service providers to help us operate AnyDB, including hosting, payment processing, authentication, customer support, analytics, email delivery, security, and AI services. These providers receive only the information reasonably needed to perform their services and handle it under their own contractual and legal obligations.

We may also disclose information:

  • when you direct us or give us permission;
  • to complete an integration or transaction you request;
  • when required by law, court order, or valid legal process;
  • when reasonably necessary to protect AnyDB, our customers, users, or others from fraud, abuse, or security threats; or
  • as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of the business, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

These operational and legal disclosures are not sales of your information.

Data Ownership and Responsibility

Your organization controls its Customer Content. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions needed to enter, upload, connect, and process that information through AnyDB.

For Customer Content, the customer generally acts as the data controller and AnyDB acts as the data processor. We process Customer Content according to the customer’s instructions, our agreement with the customer, and the applicable Data Processing Agreement.

AnyDB may act as the controller of limited information that we collect for our own legitimate business operations, such as account administration, billing, security, support, and public website information.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information and Customer Content from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures include encrypted transmission, access controls, protected infrastructure, and security monitoring.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security. We continually work to maintain safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we process.

Retention and Deletion

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide AnyDB, meet our contractual obligations, maintain security, resolve disputes, and comply with the law.

When a customer team is deleted, its users and Customer Content are deleted immediately from our live systems. Encrypted copies may remain in backups for up to 60 days before automatic deletion. Backups are maintained only for disaster recovery and are not used for ordinary business operations.

We may retain limited records when required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or security purposes.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • know what personal information we process about you;
  • access or receive a copy of your personal information;
  • correct inaccurate personal information;
  • request deletion of personal information;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
  • appeal a decision concerning a privacy request.

AnyDB does not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it for targeted advertising. We also do not use personal information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

To make a privacy request, email support@anydb.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing the request. If your account is managed by an organization, we may direct your request to that organization because it controls the Customer Content.

For personal data governed by the European Economic Area or United Kingdom data protection laws, the customer generally acts as the controller and AnyDB acts as the processor for Customer Content. Additional terms are available in our Data Processing Agreement.
