Stocktake
A full or partial physical count of the stock at one location, reviewed and posted as a stock adjustment.
The Stocktake business object represents a full or partial physical count of the stock at one location. It tracks who is counting, how far the count has got, the discrepancies found, and the stock adjustment that was posted when the count was applied.
Description
Use the Stocktake object to run a count: choose a location and a scope (the whole location, or a subset by product, supplier, vendor, tag or SKU), start counting, review the counted, missed and unexpected lines, and post the variances as one Stock Adjustment. Expected quantities are captured when counting starts, so a sale during the count shows as a variance the reviewer sees. The Inventory app drives the workflow; the record is the durable history.
