AnyDB Comments Cell

The Comments cell type allows users to add and manage comments within AnyDB records. It is designed for collaborative work and documentation within records.

Comments cells are commonly used in:

  • Project management and task tracking
  • Collaborative documentation
  • Review and feedback workflows
  • Internal communication within records

A Comments cell renders comments that are applied either to the record or to a specific cell.

Additional Options​

You can specify the source of the comments to display in the Comments cell settings:

  • All Comments: Displays all comments in the record, including those attached to specific cells and those attached to the record itself.
  • Cell Comments: Displays only comments that are attached to the specific cell where the Comments
  • Record Comments: Displays all comments associated with the record.

Operational best practices​

  • Comments are designed for collaboration and communication, not for structured data storage. Use them to capture unstructured feedback, notes, and discussions.
  • For structured data capture, use other cell types
  • You can @mention other users in comments to notify them and involve them in discussions.
  • Comments can be resolved or deleted when they are no longer relevant, but this does not affect
