RECORD_USER
Returns information about the user who created or most recently updated the current record.
Syntax
RECORD_USER(event, property)
Arguments
event: Use"created"for the record creator or"updated"for the most recent updater.property: The user property to return. Currently, only"email"is supported.
Examples
Return the email address of the user who created the record:
RECORD_USER("created", "email")
Return the email address of the user who most recently updated the record:
RECORD_USER("updated", "email")
Add a label to the creator's email:
CONCAT_A("Created by: ", RECORD_USER("created", "email"))
Notes
RECORD_USERis asynchronous. Use it directly or combine it with async-aware functions such asCONCAT_AandTEXT_A. A regularCONCATdoes not wait for the result.- The result is captured when the record formula evaluates. Changing the user's account email later does not automatically update values already stored in records.
- The formula exposes the selected audit user's email in the field where it is used. Add it to a Type only when that exposure is intentional.
- If the audit user is unavailable, the function returns an empty value.
