What Is an Object?

An object is a real business entity represented in AnyDB.

Common examples include:

  • a customer or vendor
  • a project or task
  • an order or invoice
  • a warehouse or asset
  • an inspection or service request

One meaningful business thing

Each object represents something people recognize and talk about in their day-to-day work. A customer object represents one customer. A project object represents one project.

This makes the system easier to understand because its structure follows the language of the business instead of exposing a technical database model.
